A tall redhaired german moving to Madison, Wisconsin? Now that could develop into an interesting story, ay?! Any resemblance of the blog title to movie titles is fully intentional :)

Squirrels and Badgers

Did I already mention my favourite Madisonians? Pretty sure I did in one of the previous posts. It's the squirrels, true rulers of the Madison backalleys and tightrope artists on Madcity phone lines.

Guess once you live here for longer and if you have a garden that you care for, you'd rather consider them an annoyance or even a pest. Luckily I don't have to worry about something like that and just enjoy the sight of these small furry critters.

The Badgers, on the other hand, seem to be the all time favourite of the native (human) Madisonians! Now 'The Badgers' is kind of a collective name for the UW sports team, mainly Football, Basketball and Hockey.
Last weekend (D'oh, slacking on the posts!), Matt and me went to see a Badgers game (Football) at Camp Randall Stadium with tickets 'sponsored' by our PI Ron (thanx again ^^).
The seats were great and the game was quite entertaining. Entertaining for the two of us, for true Badger fans, I guess it was rather painful to see them fumble the ball on the kick-off return and watching the 2nd string offense walk backwards more than gaining yards. Anyway they played Western Illinois and a somewhat mediocre performance was enough to still win the match.
Only drawback for me: it was quite cold that day and after the game I had to go home and take a hot shower.

Breese Terrace next to Camp Randall Stadium is filled with Badgers Fans.

Americans are into marching bands. Why? No clue ...

Gooooooooooooooool! ... ah, sorry ain't soccer! Field goal for the Badgers.

Feeling lucky!

Despite amazingly sore muscles I went to the Nat today and worked out again. I am proud ;)

Also today there was a raffle for 2 tickets for the Badgers game this saturday (talking 'bout Football here!). Ron was so nice to hand them over to the group as he attend the match this saturday. Guess what? ... exactly, I am one of the lucky guys to win the raffle, sit in my PI's seat and watch Western Ilinois get owned on saturday. Go Badgers!

My Preciousssssss ...

I feel poetic today XD!

Self explaining, I guess!?

There's a 3.6l V8 hidden under that hood ...

Hope I never have to, but ... I could fit at least two corpses in there!

6.30 am

... is, in my opinion, an excellent time to go to the gym and work out!
That's is NOT because it's nice to do some sports in the morning, healthy etc. Don't believe that, it's all propaganda of the fitness/health mafia. The reason is: I am still half asleep at that time, therefore my mind is numbed and I am unable to realize the repetitivity of raising my hand holding a dumbell 50 times. Also my whole body is kind of numbed which means, I don't feel that painful burn in my muscles as lactic acid is being formed (only later in the shower, I am kind of puzzled why I can't raise my arms high enough to wash my hair).
In germany, at that time of the day, there were 3 people in the gym: me, myself and I. At the Serf today, there were like 15-20. This is dangerous cause I might get bitchslapped by some chick, that thinks I was staring at her ass openmouthed for like five minutes while in fact I just fell asleep again with my eyes open. I will check out the Nat tomorrow.

Got myself a car last monday, need to post some pics soon ...
