A tall redhaired german moving to Madison, Wisconsin? Now that could develop into an interesting story, ay?! Any resemblance of the blog title to movie titles is fully intentional :)

Winter Wonderland

Been awfully quiet here, no? Yeah, I will try to blame it on my broken camera and the generally unexciting fall in Madison.
I did buy a new camera though and here's some pics from Olbrich Gardens when Frank was visiting me (notice there's no snow!).

The butterflies didn't want to let me take pictures with unfolded wings though -.-

I still have to "learn" what the new camera can do, i.e. play around with it's settings/options. Some accidents yield nice pictures though ...

... like this overexposed snapshot of an oldtimer on Regent St.

I also traveled a bit myself, visiting Stef, Frank, Andrew and their crazy dogs in Pennsylvania. Unfortunately the weather was quite bad, so I didn't to get to take many pictures. Still, here's a few ...

Andrew and Stef.

Pennsylvania hind posing for the camera.

Andrew on a small airstrip next to a small winery that makes vinegar they sell for wine ;)

So why winter wonderland? Well, we got about 10 inches (25 cm, please can anybody explain, wtf(!) the US is immune to the metric system?) of snow since last saturday and supposedly there's more to come. Occasionally I might beat my lethargy and take some pics while it's still white and pretty ... that's no promise, though!
