Recently ...

... I was pretty bad at posting here, I guess. My apologies ;)

What happened since the last post then:
had another birthday already a couple of weeks ago. That was Matt and unfortunately I missed going out for drinks with him because they had already moved on to a different bar when I got there. Got my mobile 3 days later ^^
Got two new flatmates: Mike is an ex-Marine, clean-Freak (his own words), owns a couple of guns (... in Wisconsin we like to go hunting. Uhmm, ok!) and is married (long-distance relationship, his wife lives in California! Bummer!). The second guy, so far, I have never seen/met. He obviously dumped some boxes in his room and then vanished again ... qualifies as a "phantom" as far as I am concerned.
Went to the BASF postdoc forum last week, will write a separate post for that.
Phone company sent me the first bill and with it came a letter saying "because of your credit inexperience you don't qualify for the phone plae that you applied for." WTF? "You might qualify for a spending limit plan ..." Huh, explain in plain, simple words, plz! A phone call (tollfree) soretd it all out: I keep the plan, but if my debt to the company exceeds $150 they will lock up my phone. Honestly I don't care about that, coz the payment is automatically deducted from my checkings account and I don' think I will ever use more than the 200 mins per month included in the monthly $30.
My back is still bad, but I will start working out anyway. Hope that will do the trick.
Still need a car :(
Today was lab-clean-up and now it's 4 pm and I will join the rest of the group for "refreshments" in the coffee room.
