Dotted Lines are awesome!!11!

Maybe it's just me being a computer gimp, having taught me everything that I know about computers myself or from forums and webpages ... but I find it just totally amazing, how today's graphics programs like photoshop can create the most amazing effects but fail to let the idiot in front of the screen (yeah, that's me!) do simple things.
Like drawing a dotted line into a picture ... can you do it? Funny enough, and I find that very consolidating, once u start searching the internet for a solution, you find numerous pages dealing with this issue, which makes me think that I am not the only gimp out there.
When I finally modified one of my tool tips the way that it drew a dotted line, I stumbled across the next problem ... ever succeeded in drawing a straight line with your mouse? Maybe it's my Parkinson, but I find it virtually impossible. So ... because I am an inventive gimp, I ended up using a temporary 'help-line' and 'dotting' along this line. The result can be admired below. Thanks to Tom R. for making the PyMol pictures of the collagen strands ... yes, my contribution is only the dotted line (took me only one hour -.-).
